You’re looking to apply your programming skills in the energy field.
You use customer input and sales information to design, implement, and test complex models and algorithms. You also provide technical support and expertise to users, respond to user feedback, and assist in sales presentations and demonstrations.
Responsibilities
Your tasks are to...
develop models and algorithms about various aspects of energy supply and distribution technologies
write uncomplicated and thorough user help docs
identify typical values for required model parameters (e.g. efficiencies, costs)
pre-assess and ensure the correctness of model results with unit tests
provide technical support to users
employ and build upon our software stack for the processing and storage of model inputs and outputs
participate in the product development with your technical expertise
be an active member of a growing software development team and exchange regularly
deliver clean and maintainable code
Qualifications
For this position you need to...
have a solid background in energy-aspects of buildings, notably electric and/or thermal supply and distribution systems
have experience in the development of computational models
take ownership of your tasks, striving for doing things right + getting work done
be an outgoing person that is happy to help others
be proficient in English and have a good knowledge of French or German
You’re a great fit if you...
are proficient in mathematical optimization and a respective language
have experience with a backend stack (RDBMS, ORM)
You are passionate about drawing from different technical and scientific fields to build software that solves real-world problems. Doing so, you are not afraid to step out of your comfort zone and work on fast-paced and complex projects both independently and in a team. In our currently small team, the ability to multi-task is crucial to rapidly provide hotfixes while not losing sight of long-term developments.
