Battery Management Systems Engineer
We are a young and ambitious team within CSEM, working on the development of innovative battery management systems (BMS). Our BMS concept is characterized by an innovative architecture, novel state estimation (SOC, SOH) algorithms and the integration of advanced sensing capabilities. These innovations have the objective to improve the lifetime and performances of Li-ion battery packs used in electric vehicles and energy storage systems. As of today, a first working prototype exists, and we are looking for a new team member to help us to accelerate its development towards a full-fledged marketable solution.
|Description complète||Your mission|
You have a background and hands-on experience in the design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of embedded electronics and sensors. Your mission will be to accelerate the prototyping of battery management electronics and to proactively contribute to improving it, especially on the sensing capabilities and architecture. This includes the design of electronic circuits using schematic capture software and the design of new PCB layouts. You will collaborate with the team to define the specification of new battery management PCBs. You will carry out and/or oversee the prototyping process, driving the ordering, commissioning, and manufacturing of the boards both within CSEM and with external contractors. You will test the PCB and contribute to identify improvement routes.
You have a Master degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering and bring in the following skills:
Proven experience in PCB design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting
Experience with Altium or other schematic capture and PCB layout software
Experience in embedded software programming (C programming, RTOS, communication protocols)
Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies,
soldering iron, etc.
Knowledge in sensors, measurements, and metrology is a plus
Experience with BMS and/or battery systems (low voltage) including testing is an asset
You take responsibility for delivering on time and translating ideas into actions
Professional proficiency in English is required. French and German are a plus
Open-minded and result-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
CSEM offers a stimulating and multidisciplinary work environment with the opportunity to work with leading Swiss and international companies. You will have the opportunity to benefit from excellent social security conditions and to evolve within a multicultural company which clearly promotes an employee-driven culture. CSEM is an equal opportunities employer.
