Alponics is a new cannabis extractions company located in Valais. We are looking for a lab manager with supercritical CO2 cannabis extraction experience and the ability to manage all aspects of an ISO/GMP extraction and testing facility. Excellent communication and management skills a must.

We are seeking highly motivated and energetic full-time Laboratory Manager who shares our passion for quality medicinal products.
The Laboratory Manager is responsible and accountable for the testing and production of extractions and formulated products and all aspects of the tracking and quality control management. Ensures the safe, accurate and timely testing and production of concentrates and formulated products. Coordinates with production schedules and Cure/Vault regarding product inventory and availability. The manager journals, monitors and tracks all observations in the company’s software seed to sale tracking system.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
Follow Policies & Procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with ISO and GMP processes
Maintains testing and formulating operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational policies and procedures
Perform QA/QC through analytical testing for quality, consistency and efficacy
Work closely with production team on all elements of the testing and formulating process
Support the mastering of various techniques for marijuana extraction and infusion - specifically super critical CO2 extraction.
Develop expertise in testing and formulating methods as well as the purification, separation and isolation of various compounds of cannabis
Responsible for inventory, record keeping and quality of product always, maintaining inventory via seed to sale tracking
Facilitating and coordinating the operational requirements between in the production workflow
Responsible for accurately weighing and recording all product weights
Works in a timely manner and strives to improve quality and maintain accuracy
Make sure that all concentrates are packaged, counted, sorted and labeled accurately
Manages day to day issues as they arise, requesting assistance as needed
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
Experience with analytical testing required and HPLC- specific experience preferred
Experience in various cannabis testing or formulation methods preferred
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and multitasking skills
Ability to interact professionally always, leading by example
Manage a controlled workflow in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in French and English
Experience and Education:
Possession of a master’s degree, preferably in chemistry, pharmaceutical industry or similar field and some experience in a related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment would be ideal. Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations and analysis.
