To complete our Operations Technologies team based in Vevey, in light for the development of technology building block for our Connected Factory, we are currently looking for an Intern in Digital Development – Advanced Robotic Projects. In this role, you will contribute to support the research technologies and other opportunities in advanced robotic & production scheduling optimization systems, which are a potential solution for several on-going studies such as:

Robotic for small batch ingredients weighing applications
Smart and autonomous mobile robots for filling & packing lines
Smart production scheduling solution to maximize in real-time overall plant utilization, reduce planned and un-planned downtimes and increase production flexibility

Key responsibilities

Support the technical concept and design (e.g. concept drawing, URS building, simulation)
Build business case (e.g. data collection from the factory, FTE analysis)
Perform exploration and technology sourcing
Evaluate smart production scheduling tools from the market

Required Profile

Bachelor or Master in Robotics / Industrial Engineering / Mechatronics or Computer Science
Knowledge in the areas of digital manufacturing technologies/trends (e.g. machine learning, industrial robots, collaborative robots, tracking technologies) is an asset
Written and spoken fluency in English
Swiss nationality or valid Swiss work and residence permit
